A Fairy Tale wedding, That’s what Brooke have asked from Eric and that’s what she got. Brooke’s excuse for such an extravagance was that this was going to be her first and only wedding. (Whom are you kidding Brooke? I stopped counting your weddings ages ago ...).
Donna and Katie Logan were chosen as Brooke’s maids of honor and Thorne was going to be Eric’s best man. Eric didn’t ask Ridge to be his best man because of Ridge’s being Brooke’s ex-fiance and ex-lover.
The guest list was a small one. Brooke’s father remained in Paris, while Beth Logan declined the invitation to the wedding after her pathetic attempt to get the newly divorced Eric to dump Brooke and marry her.
Stephanie was the only family member who wasn’t initially invited. But she insisted, and after Eric has turned down her request to be invited, she turned to Brooke and manipulated her into agreeing to invite her “new friend” (remember the terms of the divorce?) to her wedding.
Stephanie wanted to be in the wedding ceremony because she was sure that Brooke will not be able to go through with the wedding, and that at the last moment she will dump Eric for Ridge. When it will happen, Stephanie wanted to be right there for Eric and help him pick up the pieces.
The day before the wedding, when Brooke was alone at her parents house, Ridge came “to see her off” as he has put it. It was a very emotional meeting and in the end Ridge wasn’t able to control himself and he gave Brooke a very passionate kiss.
Finally the big day has arrived. Brooke and her maids of honor were driven in a limo to a very beautiful resort in Palm Springs. The guests were arriving but the groom was late.
Eric was delayed at his office first by Margo Linley and then by Beth Logan. Both women were very emotional after realizing that neither of them is going to be the next Mrs. Eric Forrester.
Soon after Eric has managed to get to Palm Springs, Thorne was taken ill, and Macy (his wife at the time) had to take him to the doctor. So here was Eric, few minutes before his wedding without a best man. He wanted to ask Storm Logan to stand with him, but Stephanie (who still hoped for a last minute change of grooms) insisted on him asking Ridge. When the later appeared in Eric’s dressing room asking on behalf of the minister what’s taking him so long, Eric had no choice but to ask him to be his best man and Ridge agreed.
In the mean time at the bride’s dressing room Brooke was day dreaming about herself and Ridge getting married.
When she was awaken by her sisters and was informed that Ridge is going to be the best man, she was upset.
The stage was set. The groom with his best man and the bride with her maids of honor where all standing before the minister and the ceremony begun
During the marriage ceremony, Brooke played a double game. Whenever she looked at Eric she was radiant, while whenever her gaze met Ridge's, it was a sad one.
Eric on the other hand was on cloud nine. And why not? Here he was finally, after a very long year of struggling and heartache, getting married to the woman he loved so much.
And Stephanie? Well, Stephanie was still hoping that somthing will happen and the wedding will be stoped. But when the ceremony went on and no one had contested Eric & Brooke's right to be married, Stephanie finally had realized that she has lost. Eric was no more hers
Then came the time to exchange vows. A very emotional Eric vowed: "I, Eric Forrester, take thee Brooke Logan to be my wedded wife and I do promise in covenant before God and these witnesses to be thy faithful and loving husband. Through plenty and want, joy and sorrow in sickness and heath as long as we both shall live"
And Brooke answered: "I, Brooke Logan, take thee Eric Forrester to be my wedded husband, and I do promise before God and these witnesses to be thy faithful and loving wife, in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health as long as we both shall live"
After the rings were placed on the appropriate fingers, the minister declared that Eric & Brooke are now husband & wife, and Eric kissed his bride.
After the wedding reception, the newly married couple changed into casual clothes for horseback riding, took off in a hot air balloon and flew into the desert to begin their honeymoon
Eric refused to tell Brooke where they were heading and she was very surprised when she spotted in the middle of nowhere 2 horses tied to a poll.
Eric landed the balloon near the horses, they mounted them and rode to a beautiful oasis with an Arabian Style tent standing in the middle of it
Eric and Brooke spent a week in the oasis, horseback riding, making love and having a wonderful romantic honeymoon.
At the end of the week Brooke was reluctant to leave the magical oasis and return to the real world. Eric reassured Brooke of his love and the wonderful future ahead of them.
A helicopter came and took them back to L.A. to start their new life as a married couple.
