Our story begins when Eric Forrester was 21 years old, and at his senior year in college. At that time he was deeply in love with a fellow student, a young woman by the name of Liz Henderson. Eric would have graduated and eventually married Liz if not for a freshman named Stephanie Douglas.

From the first time she saw him, Stephanie knew that Eric is the man for her. The one she wants to spend the rest of her life with. So she set her sights on Eric and went out to get him.

How do you get a man away from the woman he loves? That's right, you do it by using the oldest trick known to mankind. So one night Stephanie managed to get a drunk Eric into her bed and when she became pregnant, Stephanie told Eric that he is the father. Of course Staphanie "forgot" to metion that several days earlier, she also slept with her then boyfriend Massimo Marone. Eric did the honorable thing (which was a big mistake if you ask me) and married Stephanie after dumping Liz (a trait that he will pass to his children). And so Stephanie became the first Mrs. Eric Forrester.

Eric and Stephanie spent the next 28 years of their lives building Forrester Creations and raising their 4 children (Ridge, Thorne, Kristen and Felicia). It was a very cold and loveless marrige. And that's why, as Eric once said, Forrester Creations became such a huge success (Although Eric's talent as a designer had something to do with that success).

And one day, after 28 years of marrige, Liz Henderson returned .....
