Eric Forrester is the founder (with his first wife Stephanie) of Forreater Creations, which is one of the leading fashion houses in Los-Angeles, aka LaLa Land. Eric used to be the owner (with Stephanie) and CEO of Forrester Creations, but not anymore. These days the controling interest belongs to the only woman Eric really love - Brooke Logan Forrester.
Eric is also the head of the Forrester clan. And what a clan it is. These days Eric is married to Brooke's younger sister Donna. He also have 3 ex-vives (Stephanie, Brooke and Sheila) and 6 children.
From his first wife Stepahnie Eric has 4 children: Ridge, Thorne, Kristen and Felicia. There was also a 5th child (Angela) who was very sick and died many years ago. Her existence was Stephanie's most kept secret, and Eric didn't know about her for a very long time.
His second wife Brooke has given him 2 children: Eric Jr. (Rick) and Bridget. (There is still some doubt about Bridget's paternity JMHO).
Eric's marrige to psycho Sheila Carter ended thankfully with no children.
Eric also has 3 legitimate grandchildren from his oldest "son" Ridge, 1 grandchild from his "2nd" son Thorne and one fake grandchild (Eric the 3rd) from his youngest son Rick.
In the past all the adult members of the Forrester Clan are working, at Forrester creations. Brooke used to be the CEO, Eric and Ridge were designers, Thorne was in charge of production, and Stephanie ... . Well, no one knew exactly what is the Queen's job description at Forrester, except sticking her nose where it doesn't belong and being a major pain in the neck. These days the clan members change affiliations and jobs so often that it's not worth keeping track of.
In the past, Sheila was Brooke's assistant, Felicia was a designer too, the same as Kristen who also used to model the showstoper.
During the years Eric Forrester, was described as being passionate, compassionate, generous, honorable and so on. But he is not perfect. He just loves to get deeply involved with younger women. When he does, he tends to forget about evreything and anything else that matters. And afterwards he pays dearly. Getting his heart broken and losing his company are only 2 examples of the steep price that he had to pay because of this character flaw.
Sometimes the most appropriate way to describe Eric is as a shameless hypocrite. Like when he tries to con Brooke out of her shares in Forrester Creations.
