Sheila - Deadly echoes from the past
This chapter in Eric Forrester's life belongs to the realm of history re-writes and SORASing. So if you will find discrepancies between this chapter and previous ones - it's all Badley Bell's fault.
When Sheila Carter-Forrester-Warwick shot Stephanie Forrester and disappeared with her daughter Mary, Eric thought that the "Sheila fiasco" chapter in his life is finally over. But he was gravely mistaken.
Now that Eric is alone again after being dumped by another wife, who suddenly waltzes back to Lala land ??? That's right - ex #3 Sheila, with daughter Mary, whom she renamed as Erica.
In Sheila's crazed mind, Eric is now the only man who really loved her. Looking at her flashbacks, it's like all the fights, arguments, vasectomy, trying several times to kill Stpehanie etc. never happened.
Eric & Sheila in those flashbacks are 2 love birds in a perfect marriage.
The Forresters were unaware of Sheila's return, or of Erica's real identity, almost till the "bitter" end. Fortunately to Eric, he wasn't on Sheila's agenda. His son Rick was, as a husband material for Erica/Mary.
When setting up Rick's wife Amber to appear as a drug addict and a criminal, and later kidnapping her didn't achieve the desired result, Sheila appeared on Eric's doorstep.
Sheila told Eric that Erica is her daughter Mary and asked him to endorse a Rick/Mary pairing. Eric, realizing that Sheila was behind Amber's latest problems, picked up the phone to call the police, causing Sheila to draw her gun - again.
While Sheila was holding Eric at gun point, Taylor, who already figured out that Erica=Mary arrived. Instead of running the hell out of there and calling for help, Taylor chose to approach crazed Sheila and tried talking her into putting the gun down.
Brooke, unaware of the unfolding drama, entered Eric's living room caring a baby bottle. When she saw Sheila holding both Eric & Taylor at gun point, Brooke tried to escape, but Sheila saw her and tried to shoot down Brooke. Taylor jumped on Sheila trying to take her gun away and Sheila shot Taylor in the heart at point blank range.
Then both Eric & Brooke tried together to overpower Sheila. Brooke too was shot before finally Eric managed to get Sheila to drop the gun and then to knock her to the floor unconscious.
His hands covered with blood, a shocked Eric prayed "God help us" and called for help. Brooke & Taylor were rushed to the hospital, and Sheila was taken into custody. Sheila tried to convince Eric that she loves him, and was answered by Eric's "Go to Hell" snear.
Brooke recovered fairly quickly, but Taylor died couple of days after the shooting. Well, "died is too strong a word when Taydead is concerned. Even an open casket funral doesn't gurantee that she'll stay dead for long :(
For now Sheila is again locked behind bars. But she may still return to fulfill her "you are next" promise to Stephanie.
