Kristen Forrester, Eric's favored child. Being female AND favored by Eric is like waving a red flag infront of a bull when it comes to Queen Stephanie Forrester (So what if it's her own daughter ?). So the said bull, or should I say bulless (yea, I know that there is no such word in the English language, but you must admit that it sounds much better then "cow" ;)), was jealous of the special bond between Kristen and her dad.
Because of that jealousy Kristen preferred to go to college in New York, where she met the photographer Mick Savage.
Kristen returned home for Ridge & Caroline's wedding and to Eric's delight, started working at Forrester Creations as a designer like big brother Ridge and as a model.
Stephanie, who wanted Kristen married and out of the mansion ASAP, hired Clarke Garrison to romance her daughter. Clarke, a fashion designer during the day at the infamous Spectra Fashions and a gigolo by night, who was also involved with Margo Lynley - saw Kristen as a ticket to become a Forrester designer.
Clarke got Kristen, to lie to Eric and submit one of his designs as her own. Eric was very impressed and proud of his daughter's achievement, and decided to use it as a showstopper in the upcoming fashion show. Kristen modeled the dress and it was a huge success.
Later, Clarke revealed to Eric that the show stopper was his design and Kristen explained to her disappointed dad that she lied because she loved Clarke.
Eric and the rest of the Forresters were not thrilled with the Kristen & Clarke pairing. But against their wishes, Kristen eloped with Clarke to Las Vegas, where they were married by a justice of peace.
The elopement has robbed Eric of his fondest dream to walk Kristen down the aisle and give her away. To compensate, Eric has designed a showstopper wedding gown which was modeled by Kristen at the 1989 fall/winter fashion show.
Kristen left Clarke when her New York lover Mick moved to L.A., and eventually they both returned to New York the day after Eric asked Stephanie for a divorce.
