Part 2: Latino Love
Kristen stayed in New York for a very long time preferring to be as far away from her mother as possible. On her latest visit she even choose to stay in a hotel to avoid meeting Stephanie.
Eric, who was very happy to see his beloved daughter again and didn't want her to return to New York, sent Kristen to try and get the new & hot Latino designer Toni Domingez to work for Forrester Creations. Eric was secretly hoping that Kristen will get interested in Toni and decide to stay at home.
Toni didn't come to work for Forrester Creations. Instead he and Kristen fell in love, Kristen decided to stay home and Eric was on cloud 9.
But not for long. Toni was diagnosed as HIV+ and Eric freaked out. First he forbade Kristen to have any connection with Toni.
Then Eric rushed over to Toni's beach house, offered his help but insisted that from now on Kristen is off limits.
Eric forgot 2 little facts: A. Kristen isn't daddy's little girl anymore; and B. Kristen IS Stephanie's daughter and as stubborn as her mommy is. That's why Kristen was the one who decided to disobey Eric and and continue the relationship with Toni.
Kristen 1st move was to demonstrate to a frightened Toni, at his place, that they can be lovers with out endangering her health. Unfortunatly to the young lovers, Clarke has tipped Eric off about their plans.
A panicked Eric rushed over to Toni's to stop them.
When Eric arrived and saw through the glass door Toni & Kristen half naked on the couch, he lost it. Eric broke down the door, barged in and ordered Kristen to come home with him. An outraged Kristen refused to obey, but Toni convinced her to go with Eric.
Toni persuaded Kristen to return home with Eric, where she issued an ultimatum to her parents: accept her relationship with Toni or else. Eric refused to budg, and again it was Toni who calmed Kristen down.
Eric & Kristen kept arguing back and forth. Eric's mantra was: Toni has aids. He is HIV+, hence being with him puts Kristen's life at risk. He didn't want to hear Kristen's explanations about safe sex and such
Kristen refused to listen to her father's pleas and proposed to Toni who accepted.
Clarke informed Eric about the engagement.
A desperate Eric, posing as a limo driver, kidnapped Kristen when she & Toni left the engagement party.
The kicking & screaming Kristen was dragged into Eric's office where she was forced by Clarke and her dad to watch a tape of a dying man in the last stages of aids.
Eric pleaded with Kristen not to put her life at risk and break the engagement. But it was like talking to the wall. Kristen refused to leave Toni.
Eric stood his ground and refused to support and give his blessing to the upcoming wedding, until Bridget's eve-of-the-wedding party. He even refused to go to that party till Brooke talked him into going.
At the party Eric refused to be Toni's best man. But made a 180 turn after hearing the priests plea. In a matter of minutes Eric went from "my little girl is going to die" to "you are getting a wonderful man", and agreed to be the best man.
The wedding was very romantic and touching (A major diabetes attack if you are asking me). Eric finally got to walk one of his daughters down the aisle and give her away.
