Part 4 - Ridge's Revenge
Massimo's master plan to severe the ties between Ridge and Forrester Creations was a huge success. Eric & Brooke pleaded with Ridge not to leave Forrester, but Ridge refused to settle for less then being the C.E.O..
"Thanks" to his injury, Ridge was unable to design. All his anger and frustrations were tunneled into one thought: REVENGE !!!. Taking down Brooke and the "New Face of Forrester" and returning the Forrester name to it's former glory, became Ridge's only goal. The fact that his father and siblings will go down too didn't even bother him.
Eric tried to talk some sense into Ridge, but to no avail. Ridge wanted to be "head honcho" and Eric was unable to give him control over Forrester Creations.
Even the revelation that Mass was Rick's mentor and the master mind behind Ridge's fall from power, didn't budge Ridge from the revenge path. The scent of the power offered by Mass was un-resistible to the power hungry Ridge.
So, Ridge signed on as Marone Industries new C.E.O. But instead of learning the shipping buisness, Ridge used Mass's money to buy Spectra Fashions from Sally Spectra.
Before joining forces with Ridge & Mass, Sally almost revealed to clueless Eric the secret of Ridge's paternity. But only almost, because Stephanie managed to stop her. (Come on Eric, how clueless can you be ? Sally practically tells you that you lost one of your sons, Mass & Steph barge in and get Sally to clamp up, and you are not even a bit suspicious ??? )
Instead of having a fair competition, Ridge decided to play dirty. He got all the usual Forrester's buyers to drop the Ambrosia line in favor of the new Spectra line. {What's the matter Ridge? Are you afraid that your haute couture line is not good enough to beat Bimbo's trashy designs ???)
Forrester Creations were stuck with millions of dollars worth of merchandize. Rick proposed to get rid of it via Telesave. Glaring at Rick, Eric sneered "over my dead body !!!"
But Ridge, being his mother's son. Couldn't keep his big mouth shut and just had to rub it in one more time. Ridge was unaware that Eric was listening in on his conversation with Rick. Ridge's contempt changed Eric's mind, and he agreed to the Telesave sale.
Tne Telesave sale started on the wrong foot with everything possible going wrong. It looked like the sale and Forrester Creations are crashing. Eric was desperate, but refused to give up when Ridge came to the studio and tried to talk Eric into leaving the sinking ship for a job with Ridge. Eric was furious and threw Ridge out after blaming him for Forrester's current situation.
Fortunately, Amber took control of the sale and turned it into a huge success. (EWWWWW I can't believe that I am actually saying something positive about Bimbo the Clown.)
And then Taylor died.
