Bridget is Eric & Brooke Forrester's youngest daughter. Eric & Brooke didn't plan on having another child after their long awaited and short lived marriage fell apart when Brooke choose to dump Eric for his eldest son Ridge, thanks to Queen Stephanie Forrester's manipulations and Eric's naivete. But one night of passion was all it took for Bridget to be conceived.

During the pregnancy Brooke tried to convince the world at large that the baby's father was her beloved Ridge and not Eric. When Bridget was born Eric's fatherly instincts told him that she is his, but the paternity test said otherwise (thanks to Sheila Carter's intervention). A very disappointed Eric had to step back and settle for the role of Bridget's grandpa.

Eric should have paid more attention to his instincts because several years later, a 2nd paternity test revealed that Bridget is indeed his daughter.

Bridget's childhood passed with Eric having only a small part in it. But he was always there for his daughter in crisis times such as Ridge once again dumping Brooke for Taylor, or when Bridget was dead against her mother getting romantically involved with her half brother Thorne.

Being a Forrester heir, Bridget couldn't stay out of trouble for long and short time before her 18th birthday she managed to fall in love with the wrong guy - the infamous Deacon Sharp.

Bridget crush would have stayed nothing more then a teenager crush if not for the said Deacon decision to use Bridget as a pawn in his quest to get back his beloved Amber Moore Forrester (For the life of me I can't understand what does he find in Bimbo the Clown IMO) and to avenge his bruised ego.

You can say anything to want about Eric as a father, but you can't deny that he is very protective when it comes to his children. So it wasn't a big surprise that Eric was furious when during Rick & Amber latest wedding (and hopefully last ;)) Bridget introduced Deacon as her date.

Eric stopped the wedding and ordered Deacon to leave and stay away from his little girl. In response Deacon gave him an ultimatum: Amber or Bridget. When Amber was handed to him, Deacon told Eric, Ridge & Thorne that he had already slept with Bridget. Eric lost it and with Ridge & Thorne's help, beat Deacon into a pulp, only to be told by both Deacon and Bridget that it was a lie.

Gullible Bridget, instead of listening to her parents warning that Deacon is only using her as a pawn, preferred to believe Deacon's lies about how much he loves her and married him in Vegas the same night.
